The sister restaurant of Don Juan will not disappoint. I have yet to order a dish that did not amaze! This restaurant focuses more on seafood with unbelievable fish, but won’t let you down on their meat options. You will love the flavor combinations the chef, Alejandro, delivers. Reservations recommended.

La Vitrola
The most famous and historic restaurant in Cartagena. Come here and rub elbows with politicians and the who’s who of the city. The last time I was there the President of Panama was a few tables over. You never know who you will see. There is live music that starts at 9PM every night, which adds a great local element to your dining experience. This is definitely is not a place to miss. Reservations recommended.
Mark’s Recommendations: Octopus Ceviche | Tuna Carpaccio | Grouper Filet | Camaronnes with Plantanes

An amazing Asian fusion restaurant located at the Ananda Boutique Hotel. The chic atmosphere and the delicious-creative dishes make this an amazing place to eat in Cartagena.
Mark’s Recommendations: Pork Bahn Mí | The Beach | Tacos Caribe | Ceviche Laminate | Lomo Fino | Pork 2 Ways | Pargo Platero
Candè
Serves up the best Cartagenero cuisine in an upscale and elegant environment. The restaurant is located on a quiet street in the Old City; but when you enter you are taken back in time to when the streets were filled with locals dancing and playing music. This is a great place to go for local cuisine presented with a local flare while still having an incredible meal.
Mark’s Recommendations: Appetizer Sampler | Posta Cartagena | Crab Rice
Vera
Located in the Tcherassi boutique hotel, this Italian restaurant is modern, elegant and is always packed. Reservations recommended.
Mark’s Recommendations: Burrata | Asparagus with Goat Cheese and Proscuitto | Penne e Melenzana | Linguini with Bolognese
